River Pig Saloon

Looking for somewhere trendy to hangout at in the Pearl district. Look no further than River Pig Saloon. This urban bar has everything you could ask for. Good local beer, good whiskey and bourbons, and of course good food. Plus, it’s bound to be the only spot in Portland where you can play Chicken Shit Bingo.

Bars in Portland are aplenty, but there is nothing else quite like the River Pig Saloon in downtown Portland, Oregon. The vibe here is killer, the staff is friendly, and food and drinks are solid.

River Pig Saloon is found over in the Pearl District and located in one of Portland’s most historic buildings, The Gadsby. Here you will find yourself having stellar time surrounded by 600 year old Douglas fir beams, brick walls and original fir flooring.

Booze

River Pig Saloon has Everybody’s Brewing session style beers on tap, including the River Pig Lager made exclusively for River Pig. The River Pig Lager an American style light beer. Everybody’s Brewing is found out in the Columbia Gorge area in White Salmon.

River Pig’s bartenders can make you any cocktail you would like or you can pick one of their list. They have 8 cocktails to choose from like the Post Canyon made with bourbon, blackberry, lemon, and bitters. Plus, everyday they feature a Daily Punch for just $5.

Bar Bites

The food is surprisingly good here considering it’s a bar. If you are a fan of fry bread and tacos then you must try their Tillicum Tacos a Native American frybread, house chili, iceberg lettuce, cheddar jack cheese, pico de gallo, black olives, and smoked paprika crème fraiche! Every now and then they have special events where they do beer and food pairings. Like their recent Gorge Fry & Hop where they offered a Shrimp Po Boy paired with a Double Mountain Gypsy Stumper IPA.

Happy hour is all day every day on Mondays and Tuesday through Friday from 3 – 6 PM. During happy hour you can enjoy food like cajun tots and curly fries for just $2. Drinks are also super cheap during happy hour including beer for $2.75 and wine for $4.

On Sundays River Pig Saloon opens early at 9 AM for brunch during which you can try out their hearty breakfast burrito. You will want to wash it down with a spicy Bloody Mary.

Bingo

Forget the old school bingo your grandma used to play. Here you will find Chicken Shit Bingo. Now you are asking yourself, “What is Chicken Shit Bingo?” It’s a simple game and takes no skill to win. You simply pick a number and if the chicken shits on your number you’ve won.
